Warranty and Returns
Lifetime Warranty Coverage:
All Lenox Instruments products are covered by a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty ensures that any Lenox Ins. instrument is free from defects in material and workmanship, provided that the instrument has been used according to its intended surgical purpose.
What is Covered:
- Lenox Instruments guarantees the performance and durability of our instruments for their intended use. If a manufacturing defect is discovered, Lenox Instruments will, at our discretion, repair or replace the instrument at no charge to the customer.
Warranty Conditions:
- The warranty is valid only if the instrument is used for its designated surgical purpose. Instruments must be handled, used, and maintained according to the guidelines provided by Lenox Instruments.
- Instruments that have been altered, improperly maintained, or used inappropriately (including but not limited to misuse, abuse, or negligence) are not covered by this warranty.
Understanding “Lifetime” in Our Lifetime Warranty:
- Definition of Lifetime: The term “lifetime” refers to the expected operational lifespan of the instrument, which varies depending on the type of instrument, frequency of use, and the number of sterilization cycles (autoclaves) it undergoes.
- Instrument Lifespan: While Lenox Instruments are built to last, the actual “lifetime” of each instrument may vary. Typically, the lifespan can range from 100 to 300 autoclave cycles, depending on the specific instrument and how it is used and maintained. For instance, instruments that undergo more frequent sterilization cycles may reach the end of their operational life sooner than those used less frequently.
- Instrument Wear and Tear: Normal wear and tear from regular use and sterilization are expected and are not considered a defect. As such, the limited lifetime warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage resulting from extended use beyond the typical lifespan of the instrument.
Exclusions:
- This warranty does not cover:
- Cosmetic issues such as scratches, dents, or color changes that do not affect the performance of the instrument.
- Instruments damaged due to misuse, improper care, or accidental damage.
- Instruments that have been modified or altered in any way.
How to Make a Warranty Claim:
- To make a warranty claim, please contact Lenox Instruments directly, providing proof of purchase and a detailed description of the issue. If the instrument is determined to be defective due to a manufacturing issue, Lenox Instruments will repair or replace the instrument at our discretion.
Additional Terms:
- Lenox Instruments reserves the right to determine whether the instrument will be repaired or replaced.
- The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the instrument.
